»» Week’s Video: 500,000 Colored Balls Cover Piazza di Spagna, Rome

Colourful spectacle on Piazza di Spagna in Rome on Wednesday, when a man dumped what he said were some 500,000 multicolored plastic balls down the Spanish steps. The waterfall of plastic balls was released from the top of the steps into the Piazza di Spagna, ending up filling the fountain, “La Barcaccia”.
The man, identified as Graziano Cecchini, is well-known for having colored with red dye Rome’s world famous Trevi Fountain (see video “Trevi Fountain in Red”) last October 2007.
Below the video of his latest improvised art installation.
