»» Food: Celebrations for Starter Dishes in Umbria
The city of Foligno, in Umbria, will be hosting a festival celebrating typical Italian starter dishes, from September 27 through 30.
This annual food festival, called “I Primi d’Italia“, celebrates starter dishes, including pasta, rice, polenta, soup and dumplings, in all their forms.
The programme includes events such as food tasting sessions, culinary demonstrations and classes, food fashion show, food gallery, and entertaining shows.
Stands recreating a medieval village — “Villaggi del Gusto“, will offer a gastronomic ride through the diversity of Italian regional cuisine (from Sept 29 through Oct 2).
