»» Strawberries Festival in Rome Surroundings

The town of Nemi, 25 km away from Rome, will host a strawberries festival on next week-end, June 2 and 3.

Nemi

Located on the shores of the omonymous lake, Nemi is an idyllic spot for a day trip. Pope Pius II described the place as “a home to Muses and Nymphs”, with the local lake was also known as the “Mirror of Diana”.

Next week-end there will be enormous and scenic flower arrangements throughout the area, with visitors will able to enjoy music, dancing, spectacular firework display and of course vast quantities of strawberries, the local specialty.
