»» Feast of St Nicholas in Rome Surroundings
In the surroundings of Rome, two towns celebrate the Feast of St. Nicholas in a fashion typical of the Autumn.

In Genazzano (see on the map), with the annual wine fair and a wide variety of gastronomic events. Not to miss pancakes and bruschetta made with the year’s fresh batch of olive oil.
In Ponzano Romano (see on the map), Feast of St. Nicholas will be also “la Festa delle Zitelle” — the “feast of the unmarried women” who, if between 18 and 34 , will receive a symbolic gift from the local council, as well as a heartfelt wish for them to find a husband. Of course the festival will ba also a gastronomic event featuring the new wine and olive oil along to other local specialities.
