The direct flight Rimini - London(Luton), started on Thursday June 29, makes the Adriatic Coast of Emilia Romagna closer for UK’s holidaymakers.
The flight is operated by low-cost airline ‘EasyJet‘. With this new service, EasyJet now serves 39 routes connecting 11 Italian airports.

The Adriatic Coast of the Emilia Romagna, better known as Riviera Romagnola (Romagna Riviera), is one of the favorite seaside destinations by tourist from Germany and North Europe.
Now also Britons are expected to crowd the Riviera Romagnola sandy beaches.

The main beaches in the area: Riccione, Rimini, Bellaria, Milano Marittima, Igea Marina, Cattolica, Cervia, Cesenatico, Misano Adriatico.

Good news for those who are traveling to Italy from Central Eastern Europe.

The Central European low-cost airline Wizz Air is releasing 100,000 seats from £1(1 UK pound) one-way, excluding taxes and charges. The offer started on Tuesday, June 27, runs through July 3.

The Italian destinations Wizz Air flies into, are: Rome (Ciampino airport) and Bergamo (Orio al Serio airport).

The flight routes are:
- from Rome: Budapest (Hungary), Katowice (Poland), Sofia (Bulgaria), Bucharest and Tg. Mures (Romania);
- from Bergamo: Katowice (Poland) and Arad (Romania)

Travel Period: July 7 - September 15, 2006.

Telefono Blu, Italian organization which protects travelers against scams and frauds, published the average prices for each of the most common services and items provided on the beaches in Italy.

Below a few examples:
- to rent an umbrella: € 8 - 12;
- to rent a bathing hut: € 5 - 8;
- to rent a twin-hull pleasure boat: € 4 - 10 /hour ;
- hot shower: € 0.5;
- hot deckchair: € 5;

However, the prices above listed, vary widely, depending on beaches, zones etc….

Expect you to pay more in Sardinia, along the Tuscan coast, Amalfi Coast and Capri.
So, as the same services will cost you less on the Riviera of Romagna and Adriatic coast of the Marches, which appears to be the least expensive among the seaside areas in Italy.

Lake Garda area is providing the setting for one of the most outstanding Jazz festivals in Italy, through July 12.

Garda Jazz Festival, kicked off Saturday, June 24, will gather on the lake’s shores prominent Jazz musicians from all over the world.

Several localities in the lake area included in the Trention Alto Adige region are being involved in this festival: Riva del Garda, Torbole, Arco, and Drena, to name a few.

Theatres, squares, castles, pubs will be hosting concerts, performances and the several other events scheduled in this three weeks of Jazz.
For the Jazz passionates, it’s an opportunity to visit an area offering a great diversity of scenery.

A couple of concerts by the British rock star Sting will be held in this week-end in Italy.

Sting will perform in Milan, at Piazza Duomo (Duomo square) on Friday, June 23.

On June 25, will be the city of Naples to host a concert by the British pop musician.

These two events will be the only concerts by Sting scheduled for this summer in Italy.
Sting will present in these two Italian venues, the same show seen in the concerts he performs in his current European tour.
